Macro Shots

How I missed doing these style of photgraphy. It's just takes a lot of your time in getting the right shot. Lighting is the most important and getting the right angle would either break it or ruin the whole thing. After all that work, you then have to choose which photo that would represent your work and then edit to any specifications on what otcome you think is right.

This is like gardening for me. Gives you the satisfaction on what the end result is, on how it turns out.

Express Unboxing

I started doing unboxing videos where it only takes less than 5 minutes and some even less than 2. I'm at that point where spending 15 or more minutes someone open an item, talking about whats in their head while slowly taking a toy out of its box is a waste. I just want to see what it looks like out of the box, what it came with and whether its worth it or not.

Throwback 10 years ago

Was looking through my digital library of endless pics and I happen to stumble upon photos of our first San Francisco road trip.

BBandSS

Back then, I already have my DSLR and it gave me that feeling that with such an advanced camera, it would yield images that would be close to works of art, fit to be displayed in a museum. Strutting my camera all over the city, as if I'm a professional.

SF Thing

I'm not saying that they were bad. They were decent. But it would have been way better and closer to my present standards if I would have taken the time to at least learn the basics back then.

And looking through the properties of each photo, I had no idea back then how I was adjusting my cameras settings. On the bright side, at least I was not using our point and shoot.

The Elf on the Shelf... and on the bench..... and on the board..... and on the.........

Having Adi and Happy clean up after their mess (mainly toys) is such a struggle. We constantly have to remind them that they need to tidy up. There must be a better way for them to remember, and I think we found a way. Enter the Elf in the Shelf.

Elf

Days before Christmas, Happy found one of the Elves still in it's box. She would actually talk to it, whispering her wishes for whatever she wanted from Santa everyday. Two days before Christmas, I took the elf out of it's box and put it on the tree. When both kids woke up, they eventually noticed that the elf was missing from it's box and went out looking for it.

Elf

From then on, we started moving the elf. On Christmas day, the elf brought Santa's gift. But it never stopped there. We then had an idea to keep the elf movin everyday. It was fun for Adi and Happy for a few days, but closer to New Year, both kids are getting scared, since we told them that the elf maybe after their toys now.

Elf

Adi would wonder why the elf hasn't made it's motif clear. But a few hours ago, I started putting some of their toys in a paper bag, dressed up the elf as if its about to leave. I then set my GoPro to record the upcoming events.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mega Bloks Series 2 Codes

It's either I'm not searching hard enough or just too darn lazy. I'm really not into posting codes online but I've tried searching and all i got were a bunch of Youtube reviews that goes for at least 15 minutes. All I need is the code. Geez is that too much to ask?

 Here it is.

Selfies

Facebook and Instagram is littered with these photos. I'm guilty of this but can't help but wonder how some people can dedicate a few minutes every single day just to take pictures of themselves.

Please refrain from using any selfie sticks during the convention @happymommyadi #sdcc #comiccon #sandiego #hasbro #yotsuba #noselfies

When I look at the mirror after waking up,thats enough for me to know how I look like. But posting it on social media is just too much. I guess there's people out there who just can't wait to see that particular person's selfie for that day.

Sure we have our own thing that we do and like. Photos of pets, food and places would be an abundance with all my FB friends. But come on, your selfies flooding my feed every single day. And mind you, it's not just one photo, but several, as in several ANGLES. I know, the left side of your face does not compliment you as much as your right side. As a good friend, these are several things that I have to put up with.

SDCC 2015

I'm still stoked up 'til now and I can't believe that we're still able to get a 4-day pass to this years Comic-con. We've been lucky so far and I just wish that it'll keep going this way. I did get a shot for preview night but opted not to. It was just a rip-off since it's like paying for a full day of Sunday for only 3 hours on Wednesday.

Someones excited to go to the con @happymommyadi #sdcc #comiccon #happyadi #funtime #sandiego

We went to Town and Country to pick up our badges which was a breeze. The only problem was the traffic going there. Happy was also with us, to save me the trouble of getting her a badge every single day.

Christmas in July. Look at that smile @happymommyadi #sdcc #comiccon #funtime #sandiego

Happy is definitely looking forward to this since she wants to dress up as an "evil witch" and those were her exact words.

Kulalaloopsy

Happy is into Lalaloopsy now, but those things are expensive. Luckily, I was able to find a seller on Ebay that sells mini Lalaloopsies. They came all the way from China, loose and comes with almost 90% off for each figure.

When I got them at the mail, I hid them first and decided i'd give it to her one at a time as a reward. The first two figs I gave her, she did not recognized and ask why are they not in a box and ask who were they. I had no idea too, since they came as is and no sort of identification. I looked them up online and Happy said that each part seems like a different Lalaloopsy character.

We then dubbed these two as Holly 1 and 2.

I then took a picture of each and showed it to her pretending I'm looking them up online. She had the same look on her face trying to figure out who were these unknown Lalaloopsies. I'm now stuck with 8 other unidentifiable Lalaloopsies. It then occurred to me that she needed something to boost her Filipino vocabulary. What better way to incorporate it to her toys. Thus Kulalaloopsy was born aka kulasa.

We then told her that she's a foreigner from the Philippines that only speaks Tagalog and doesn't understand English at all. She needs to communicate to her in Tagalog for Kulasa to be able to play with the other Lalaloopsies.

Only three words came out of her. "Bakit ako Tagalog?".

SDCC 2014: Preview Night and Day 1

A few highlights to this years San Diego Comic-Con. Nothing has really changed. Same venue, almost the same vendors and the never ending same old lines.

Number of peeps also rose and navigating through the floors has somewhat more challenging every passing year.

SDCC 2014

It's preview night, but I'm already gearing up as early as 3AM. I had to, since i ask a few favors and the only possible way for me to be able to get this is by going at the convention center at 6:30 in the morning (9 hours earlier before the official opening of the con).

I had to pull a few strings this year since I'm so desperate.

I was supposed to sell my tickets, but had a change of heart. One thing is, I'm not as excited that i used to be. Oh well, as long as i have fun.
